Who is The Man?

I don't know who "The man" is,but I know where he gets his money.

I just had to go to the office superstore to get some cartridges for my printer..."The Man" has to be selling those things. Come on, you can not even find out how many pages you can print with one of those things on the label, you have to go home and look it up online to find out how many pages you can print with them. You can buy a ream of paper for $5 and ink for $30 or $40 that will print about half of the paper in the ream. What a ripoff!

"The man" also keeps the price of gas high, and the price of Diesel higher, even though diesel it is less refined than gas. "The Man" Gives a tax rebate for those that buy a Hybrid car, that uses GAS and Electric to encourage us to use less gas,  but no tax rebate to buy a Bicycle, which uses nothing but manpower.

"The Man", any blues man will tell you, is the root of all your problems. "You better not complain boy, you get in trouble with the man"

How do you identify the man? Not always an easy job. In the movie "Cool hand Luke" The man is the warden, and the shotgun wielding guard with the reflector glasses. It is anyone that has power over you.

The man works for the IRS, most always wears a uniform. He does not have to be real rich, but it is a good sign you may be dealing with the man, if he is driving a nicer car than you are.

Well I've got to go stick it to the man.

Blypass?

When thinking of a name for my Blog, I spent a lot of time, much like time wasted by bands trying to come up with the perfect name.... wasted time I will never regain.

While I was in high school, we spent hours coming up with the name "Total eclipse" for our band, and when we were introduced for the big senior variety show as "Totally blitzed"..time wasted, I will never get it back.

So I thought why waste more time, I asked my wife, hey what should I name my blog , she said Blypass, in 2 seconds, no wasted time.

The term Blypass, has been a long revered  name in our house, that dates back to some time in the 80s and  my brother Richard Bly.

One day years ago Richard dubbed the latest, "Questionable auto repair" my father, R.P. Bly Senior was proudly displaying as, a "Blypass",  the name stuck.

My father has for years repaired cars much like the crew on Apollo 13 did to return to earth. I have seen artistry with bailing wire, JB weld, duct tape, vice grips. etc. As a mechanic he made a great intelligence officer  for the DEA.

It has become a family legacy. I am sure my grandfather Pearl Bly who I never met, performed  his share of blypasses in his day.

So I call this Blog Blypass.

Enjoy.
